Homeward Soul 2.0 is the first single off of the upcoming EP, "Sun," from the Manzanita Cycle.
What does home feel like? Is it a place? People? Experiences? Do you even remember what it feels like? Will you know when you're there? It's hard to say. These questions are a stark representation of my search for, and discovery of, the feeling of Home.
Spain, Massachusetts, San Francisco, Big Sur, Lake Tahoe, the Feather River Canyon, Los Angeles, Mexico City, and Monterey - these are some of the backdrops for these memories. The people, performances, and experiences lived within all form what feels most like Home to me.
lyrics
I've been here, I've been there, before
Seems like everywhere I turn
I found myself looking for home.
So why can't I be there, once and for all?
I've been here, I've been there, before
Seems like everywhere I turn
I found myself looking for home.
So why can't I be there, once and for all?
At first sight, I thought that it was paradise.
But then, reality crept in and took me away.
Now I'm feeling so alone, and no one is there
No one walks in the same place, no one takes the fall
I've been here, I've been there, before
Seems like everywhere I turn
I found myself looking for home.
So why can't I be there, once and for all?

Ezra's music is honest and raw, simply presented, and a wonderful experience drawn from his personal growth. I had the lucky opportunity to contribute guitars to this album. Sean Emmett Thompson
